An example of neo-math. If households making $30K in 1979 had the same spending power in 2008, this would be appropriate. However, the value of the dollar is NOT the same for both years. Compare prices for just about any goods, except electronics (computers, MP3 players, DVD players, etc.) and the prices are higher now than in 1979.
